Osmo Wood Wax Finish is a satin-matte wood finish which combines all the advantages of oils and waxes in one unique product. Resistant to water and dirt, very durable and smooths wood surfaces. Easy application – no need for a primer or sanding between coats, which saves time and money. Resistant against liquid spillages
and the dry finish is safe for humans, plants and animals.

When dry, our finishes unfil both DIN EN 71.3 (suitable for children's toys) and DIN 53160 (resistant to perspiration and saliva), making them safe for humans, animals and plants.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT APPLICATION TOOL
Different applicators will provide different results in regards to colour intensity and number of coats needed.
By hand with a lint-free cloth
Transparent (1-coat): Apply a thin coat with a lint-free cloth.
- Work product thinly and evenly onto wood using cloth
- Working with the grain, remove all excess product from surface with a clean lint-free cloth
- Allow 10-12 hours drying time. Allow for good ventilation whilst drying.
For flooring, a top coat of Polyx®-Oil 3031/3043/3011 is required for added durability against wear and stains
Intensive (2-coats): Apply two thin coats with a lint-free cloth.
- Once first coat has dried (12 hours) apply a second thin coat for a solid colour
- Allow 10-12 hours drying time. Allow for good ventilation whilst drying.
Two coats is not recommended for high-wear surfaces like flooring
WARNING: Cloths saturated with product are a spontaneous combustion hazard and should be left out unfolded until dried, prior to disposal or preferably stored in a proper fireproof container.
By hand with SuperPads/Scotchbrite pads
Transparent (1-coat): Apply a thin coat with a white pad or Osmo Superpad.
- Work product thinly and evenly onto wood using a white pad
- Ensure there are no circular swirl marks or visible excess and finish is applied evenly
- Allow 10-12 hours drying time. Allow for good ventilation whilst drying.
For flooring, a top coat of Polyx®-Oil 3031/3043/3011 is required for added durability against wear and stains
Intensive (2-coats): Apply two thin coats with a white pad or Osmo Superpad
- Once first coat has dried (12 hours) apply a second thin coat for a solid colour
- Allow 10-12 hours drying time. Allow for good ventilation whilst drying.
Two coats is not recommended for high-wear surfaces like flooring
WARNING: Pads saturated with product are a spontaneous combustion hazard and should be left out unfolded until dried, prior to disposal or preferably stored in a proper fireproof container.
By hand with Fleece Applicator pad
Transparent (1-coat) Apply 1-2 thin coats with our fleece applicator pads (best way to ensure you avoid over-application).
- Work the product into the wood thinly and evenly using the fleece applicator pad
- Be sure to thinly and evenly coat the surface
- Allow approx. 8-10 hours drying time. Allow for good ventilation whilst drying.
- If desired, add a second coat following the above steps
TIP: Fleece applicator pads can be stored in an airtight container overnight between coats
For flooring, a top coat of Polyx®-Oil 3031/3043/3011 is required for added durability against wear and stains
Two coats is not recommended for high-wear surfaces like flooring
WARNING: Pads saturated with product are a spontaneous combustion hazard and should be stored in an airtight container prior to disposal or preferably stored in a proper fireproof container.
By hand with a brush
Apply two thin coats with an Osmo Floor Brush or Osmo Natural Bristle Brush for smaller areas.
- Apply with the brush thinly along the wood grain on the clean and dry wood surface
- For a subtle glazing effect, apply thinly with a cloth, and within 20 minutes wipe away excess
- Allow 12 hours drying time before recoating. Allow for good ventilation whilst drying.
- Clean brush with Osmo Brush Cleaner and Thinner (benzene-free) or Turpentine
